The Endless Rant is a nebulous collection of online communities (combinations of blogs, message boards and chats singularly referred to as rants) that operates upon principles of free speech, individual accountability and social selection.
Rants are solely created, maintained and moderated by participants for participants as each sees fit to. Rants that continue to attract participants and remain active, survive. Those that do not, perish from neglect.
The Endless Rant was first launched in January 2000 in response to the September 15th 1999 closure of the former Webchat Broadcasting System (WBS.net) and the lack of satisfactory alternatives to it's multimedia chat format. The Rant has been reinvented several times since then and continues to be dedicated to the technical and social development and evolution of the former WBS format.
